This is a holy grail snare drum, and the crown jewel of my collection. The pictures are part of the description. Snare drum shows some very small surface scratches and smudges. Also missing grommet cover. Has been kept in a padded hard case in a climate controlled storage unit for most of its life. The finish on these beauties is Black Silky Oak and it’s rare. Now that Brady drums no longer exist these drums will be highly sought after and increase in value. Brady Jarrah Ply drum kit with a custom ordered finish. A full drum set from the famous snare maker. (depth x width) 10″ X 10″ tom 10″ X 12″ tom 16″ X 16″ floor tom 18″ X 24″ bass drum. Black Silky Oak Sparkle Gloss finish. The drums look amazing with a deep glossy finish. The clear gloss has a tiny bit of silver sparkle in it that is hard to capture in photos. The grain pattern of the shell has a nice depth to it. The subtle silver sparkle combined with the natural pattern of the wood is quite showy and elegant. Handcrafted shells made in-house by Brady with constant ply construction… The grain of each ply runs in unison with the next ply, horizontally which gives the drums many characteristics of solid ply drums…. This horizontal ply construction is the key to what makes these drums so incredible… They really sound like no other high end kit that I’ve ever heard or played. This is an incredibly rare kit. Only one or two others were ever made, and because of the variation in veneers, there is not another one in the world that looks like this. Brady recently decided to close their doors and are no longer producing these drums. There will never be another kit like this available. Since then is was kept in a climate controlled studio and never moved from that room. This kit is perfect in every way without any blemishes of any kind. The batter heads were changed from the originals while the kit was still at Memphis Drum Shop for a video that was made for their website. The toms have Remo Clear Emperors, snare has a Remo Coated Controlled Sound, and bass drum has a Remo Clear Powerstroke 3. The heads have been played on very little and are still extremely fresh. The stunning Blackheart Veneer was used on this particular kit and applied in a way that the dark and complex section of the veneer was placed in the center of the drum with the blonde areas on the outside. This created what Brady called the Reverse Blackheart. The drums are made of Jarrah Ply which is extremely dark and full with excellent attack. They sound absolutely unreal. The snare drum is crisp and articulate with beautiful body. The bass drum is truly thunderous. The suspension mounts are included with the toms, as well as the floor tom legs.
