Vintage Slingerland Radio King bass drum (24×14), rack tom (9×13), and floor tom (16×16) up for sale. Original hardware (minus one modern tension rod) & (one bass claw/t-rod with half tine/T — bottom left on the bass batter side). Original calf skin reso heads (some glue residue on the bass drum reso skin). Extra holes in shells are plugged. Tom shell over-lap section leveled. Thin goat skin batter heads on the toms, and thin furred goat skin on the bass drum batter. Drums fit modern heads snuggly. Slingerland external bass drum muffle included. Aluminum cloud badge on bass drum included — but it is uninstalled in case of future re-wrap. This is such great kit, and it wears all of its scars proudly! When I rescued this set the White Marine Pearl wrap was covered in paint (layers of orange & brown), and the hardware was painted black. Unfortunately, the wrap was unrecoverable, but instead of a full rewrap I opted to use a single coat of tung oil on the natural mahogany. Local Pick-up is preferred. I can accommodate a physically distanced pick-up. I’m happy to answer any questions. Some rust damage is visible, some paint and wrap remnants remain. Snare drum stand is not included in this sale. Gorgeous and somewhat rare early 40s Radio King 3-piece drum set, in classic White Marine Pearl wrap with Streamline’cigar’ lug casings. Nickel hardware all around. 9×13 tom: All original. Some checking/hairline wrap cracks, pretty minor. Top rim has Radio King stamp, bottom does not. Includes one vintage perhaps original calf head. 12×14 tom: All original except perhaps the muffler or knob. 14×26 bass drum: Dual “Lock Quick” mount brackets on top, a rarity and very handy. Both mounts work as designed, one is a bit stiff. Cloud badge is an era-correct replacement, and grommet has a little split in it. This drum has two little tack holes in the bottom, perhaps from anchoring to the floor long ago. Hoops have very minor paint wear as shown. Little to no pedal rash. Both heads are vintage calfskin, the resonant head has home artwork and a small rip as shown. Batter head is excellent. The nickel has been buffed on most of the hardware, to a nice bright sheen but in places brass can be seen (on the tops of the rims for instance). Bearing edges are original and excellent all around. Yellowing/fade is very even between all three drums and looks great. No stripped threads, all moving parts work properly. Spurs and spur brackets are included with the kit. Vintage Ludwig – Stainless Steel. 13,14,16,22 Drum Set (Depth x Diameter). 9 x 13 mounted tom. 10 x 14 mounted tom. 16 x 16 floor tom. 14 x 22 bass drum. Rounded blue and olive badges. Lots of minor scratches and a couple small dents. The biggest issus is some major rubbing on bass drum under each of the mounted toms. This is a players kit or a great project if you like to buff stainless steel. These look great from 5′ away. Tension rods, T’s, claws, hoops, spurs all look original.
