Here we have a very nice mid 70’s Ludwig 12 X 8 Bowling Ball Oyster Blue Pearl concert tom. The Blue and Olive badge has a serial number of 1044975. There are no modifications, or cosmetic issues.

Rogers 72 Script badge 4 piece kit. They are in very good condition. The color is white. These drums have a great vintage sound and come with what is seen in the pictures. They are used but they barely have any scuffs on them. There are some but are very light and they don’t even show up in the pictures they are so light. There is some light pitting in spots on the chrome but not to bad at all. Otherwise, these are a very clean set of vintage drums. These are very minor thing considering the age of these beauties! Slingerland 8 x 12 Rack Tom (depth x diameter) Sparkling Gold Pearl Wrap, Early 1970’s Niles Era. THE LISTING IS FOR THE DRUM SHELL AND HARDWARE INSTALLED ONLY. NO HOOPS, TENSION RODS OR DRUM HEADS. The Gold Sparkling Pearl Wrap on the shell has a nice appearance with only slight fading from the original gold color. (see pictures 13, 14 and 15 showing the drum shell w/ no hardware installed). The original wrap is tight along the edges and the main vertical seam. A drumhead rests flat and spins smoothly on both top/batter and bottom/resonant sides. BLACK and SILVER BADGE #837xx. (circa early 1970’s) The shell is 3 ply mahogany, poplar, maple w/ maple re-rings. The interior looks very nice and clean for a 50+ years drum shell. There is NO extra holes in drilled in the shell. The Bearing Edges and Re-Rings on both ends are nice and solid. (see pictures 8 thru 12). THE HARDWARE INSTALLED ON THE DRUM SHELL INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING. 1 – 160-6 Set-O-Matic Tom Mount Plate w/ SS2 Key Screw. Very Good Condition with only minor use. The chrome plating finish is very nice and shiny. The Mount Plate slides smoothly on the receiving arm post with no issues. 1 – 1081 internal muffler. Works smoothly and is in good operating condition. 12 – 565 Small Sound King lugs. Each one has been taken apart, cleaned and lubricated w/ clean felts installed. All twelve lugs are in nice clean shape. The chrome plating looks great giving off a nice shine. (see pictures) All threads inside the swivel nuts are in good condition. The mounting screws are in very nice clean condition with good threads. Please examine all the pictures for your consideration and to determine the condition for yourself. 70’s Ludwig Vistalite 4 piece drum kit. They are clear and supper cool! These drums are heavy and sound amazing. They are in very good to excellent condition in my opinion. They come with what is seen in the pictures as is. They are used so you can expect to find something not prefect on them. But for being 50 years old you might not find one this clean very often. There are just a few very light scratches here & there. Not to many at all. Nothing that really stands out to bad. There are no cracks in any of the shells. There are a few pictures where it looks like you see a crack, but it is just a reflection. The stand that comes with the two concert toms is nothing special. It was put together and works just fine but you could probably find something better. The top portion is a Ludwig made for these toms but the bottom part is unknown. Everything is in great working order. Drum heads still have plenty of life left in them. There is some rust on three of the six floor tom leg, but only on the tops. Most is hidden by the mounts. The other three are like new. Take a look at the pictures and you will see all of these things I have pointed out and how very nice drum set is. Late 70’s Ludwig Vistalite Amber 4 piece Drum Kit. The Kick is 24″, the floor tom is 18′ and the rack toms are 14″ and 12 (not pictured). It will require some TLC but once dialed in it sounds amazing. It’s missing a spar for the kick, you will want to replace the front hoop and the floor tom has been welded and yes when you get close you will notice some small scratches but you don’t notice when you get 10 feet away much less on stage. Ludwig Black Cortex 70’s 7pc Double Bass Concert Tom Drum Kit Set 3 PLY RERINGS. 3 PLY Shells WITH RERINGS! The serial numbers are pointed badges in the 1,800,000 range. Mufflers above the badges. These make me believe this kit was likely from. I would rate it as good – possibly very good for its age. All the drums and even concert toms have rerings (never seen that before) which is interesting. Sizes 13×9,14×10,15×12,16×14,18×16 two 22×14,22×14 bass drums (virgin). The two largest concert toms (16 + 15) there is a extra hole near their mounts (see last picture). Possibly someone put on different mounts at one point on those. The drums all have expected normal wear such as. The normal paint chipping on the black paint on the hoops. I restored some imperfections: glued some separating plies of wood, a couple wrap seams, sanded edges to smooth them out. There are three clips stands (one not pictured). Please note for the mounts… The bottom of them are tama and one is difficult to adjust. May need a different base or to be upgraded down the road. One of the stands I did noticed the wing nut does get kinda close to touching the tom…. That stand may have been for smaller concerts but works. I added newer heads and front head (some new and used) with a slight white color variation on the front heads. Aquarian sent me a replacement white bass head when i brought that up to them. I can include that extra head with another ludwig sticker. See pictures for general condition. Still pretty cool as its a re ring concert tom kit. As that may risk damage with the exception I may be willing to put one tom in each bass drum box.

Very nice vintage Slingerland “Modern Solo” drum kit. Serials date it to around 1976 /77. Sizes are 14×22, 8×12, 9×13 and 16×16. Overall this kit is in very good condition. No mods or extra holes. There is some light scratching on the white wrap on all drums but all very minor. Also some minor pitting on some of the hardware and some small areas of wear on the chrome hoops. The interiors of these drums are absolutely beautiful. Toms have older batter heads that should be replaced. The resonant heads are of various makes but are all in good condition. Here are the individual particulars of each drum. 22 bass – All original. Hoops have been repainted at some point but look very good. Has what is likely the original resonant head and a Slingerland logo pinstripe batter. Original legs and tom mount. These is an area barely visible by the tom mount where a sticker was at one time. 16 tom – All original except the rubber feet for the floor tom. 13 tom – All original. The screw to tighten the tom mount is bent but works fine. 12 tom – All original except the screw to tighten the tom mount is not original and should be replaced as it doesn’t work terribly well. The kit has been thoroughly cleaned and is ready to go! I put fresh heads on and played it for about a week and they sound fantastic. Theses are some of the finest shells Slingerland ever made. I would keep them but I have way to many kits…..
