1960’s Ludwig Club Date Combo in Silver Sparkle with a converted snare drum as a floor tom. Silver Sparkle has faded to a ginger ale’ish color. Chrome is in excellent condition on the bass drum and mounted tom, and very good condition on floor tom (converted snare). 14″x 20″ Bass Drum, inlay is present. Keystone badge, Claws and tension rods on batter side are not original Ludwig. 8x 12 Mounted Tom, Keystone badge, tone control present. 10″x 14″ Snare/Floor Tom, Blue/Olive Badge, extra holes were snare throw and butt end were. Ludwig 60’s Down Beat Kit. This item is limited to one item in kind. [Vintage] Ludwig 60’s? Down Beat Kit 20 “, 12″, 14 Black Oyster Black Oyster. Original covering specifications in good condition. A must-see rare item for Beatles fans and Ringo Starr fans. The number of original black oyster sets from the 1960s is decreasing year by year, and they are becoming extremely valuable. It is a combination set of TT / FT made in 1966 and BD made in 1968. BD and TT each have a 5mm large covering peeling off. Especially for TT, it has been modified and is not very noticeable. BD has a covering burn. It looks a little dull compared to TT / FT, which has almost no burn. Looks damage seems to be small. Size: BD20 “x14″, FT14 “x14″, TT12 “x8″. Color: Black Oyster original covering. Shell: 3ply Mahogany / Poplar w / Maple R. Mount: Original rail mount specifications. Serial: BD577xxx, TT270xxx, FT272xxx. I wish I could say that I know a lot about this drum set. The set was used by presumably some teenager for a couple of years to annoy their parents until they finally put them in storage. I’ve done a little research on this set. The color is Marine Pearl or White Pearl. I hope I’m right about that. It’s a white sparkly color. The original Gretsch round badge design lasted from the company’s inception in 1883 until 1971. I don’t have an accurate date of the set, but looking at the online resources, I can make an educated guess from 1954 to 1964. The small tom tom and hi hat have the round badge with the tack in the middle, the snare is tackless while the bass has no badge. The tom tom is 13 x 10, the snare is 14 x 6, the floor tom is 16 x 16, and the bass drum is 22″ x 16″. The set does have some wear and tear on it and some rust spots. The covering where it wraps around is peeling off of the floor tom and the small tom tom and trim pieces and the covering are peeling off of the bass drum. The bass drum has a crack in the covering as shown in the pics. The wood looks fine. The snare drum looks whiter than the rest of the set, so I don’t know if that means anything like the snare is newer or was better taken care of to prevent fading. The last picture shows all the hardware thats going with it. The snare drum stand is not original and is fairly rusty, so it’s not really worth sending. I just used it for pics. The bass and floor tom come with the legs, the small tom is held up by the bracket on the bass and works good. I also have some cymbals that and extra stuff that will come with the set that probably aren’t original to the set, but that and some extra stuff is what I will be sending with the set. Items usually reach Asia within 14 days, Europe within 10 days, Australia within 14 days, and South America in 14-18 days. No idea how long it takes to reach Africa. Any overages will go into the guesstimate fund, any underages will come out of the guesstimate fund.
