Great Set in almost MINT Condition. 22×18, 9×13 and 16×16. Perfect go to sizes. Super kick on bass drum. Big fat DW sound. Finish is either Broken Glass or Champagne Glass. A little more gold than most of the broken glass kits I’ve seen. Also has the DW RIMS Mount shown in last picture. Firm on the price. Date Stamped 1968 Ludwig Mod Orange Drum Set. All drums are born together set. It’s rare to find Keystone badge rail mount Mod Orange kits. Sizes are 22×14″ bass drum , 13″ tom x 9″ deep and 16″ x 16 floor tom. The 22 and 13 are club date drums and the 16 is a classic. Ludwig did not make a 16 club date floor tom. Some scratches in the finish as shown in the pics. Some pitting on the hoops and lugs. The shells had glue residue on them from som contact paper. Glue was cleaned off and shell was polished. Original badges are on the drums but need the grommets properly installed with grommet tool. Original floor tom legs. Overall a great looking and playing set. Have one of my kits listed for sale. It’s a 1960 Ludwig Black Diamond Pearl 22-13-16. The kick and 13″ tom are pre-serial, and the inside of the kick is stamped “DEC 6 1960. These drums sound incredible, but this is not a museum quality kit. It is definitely a players’ kit. While the pearloid finish looks stunning, it also hides a multitude of sins past. You will find parts moved, extra holes, etc. But these drums have a gorgeous tone and volume. Heads are new top and bottom, hardly any playing time on them. The bearing edges were professionally recut by Jeff Schaefer at The Reapercussionist. Anyone who knows Jeff knows his awesome work. Drums will be packed carefully. This is a Premier Soundwave kite from 1978. The Soundwave was the FIRST model to feature the “undersized” shells which allow the head to sit better and make for easier tuning. This later became known as Projector in the 80s and 90s. The two-tone finish was only done for a few years and makes a very unique looking kit. This set has the beautiful low profile Die Cast Hoops. And believe it or not – the original heads! The sizes are 22 x 14 bass drum 13 x 9 tom 16 x 15 floor tom (22-13-16 diameters) These are classic sizes and SOUND GREAT!! The shells are classic Premier BIRCH with BEECH reinforcement rings. The finish is lacquer in natural with burgundy red inset. There are s ome imperfections in the lacquer finish. The black part of the bass drum hoops have small nicks and light pedal rash. After all, this is 38 years old. The original heads have been packed away for years. They have a few scuffs and dimples but have not been played. The chrome lugs are nice. These are a two piece design to give the spacing for the undersized shells. I think they the best looking lugs Premier ever made. The hoops have very minor scuffs scratches and speckles. The interior of the drum is very nice. The toms have original tone dampeners. Comes with hard-to-find single tom mount. Look at the photos. The drums will be carefully pac.
