Original Gretsch Drums & Accessories Catalog 1941 C-82. Measures 9″ x 6″. Shows some wear & soiling to covers. Bottom right corner of front cover has light diagonal bend. I actively listed till around 2013. Then allowed the listings to die a slow death. Last sale was in 2021. After a 10+ year absence from listing on here due to burnout, I have decided to return. This is a one of a kind, ORIGINAL Ludwig Vintage clear vistalite drum set with (2) rare 24 bass drums. All accessories including hi-hat, 1 crash and 2 ride cymbals, all hardware and a complete set of hard cases. These clear vista-lite drums have no cracks and no yellowing, which if you are aware is quite rare. 2 rare 24 clear vista-lite bass drums. 1 14 clear vista-lite snare drum. 1 12 clear vista-lite tom tom. 1 13 clear vista-lite tom tom. 1 16 clear vista-lite floor tom tom. 1 hi-hat w/stand and 2 14 cymbals. 1 18 ride cymbal w/stand. 1 16 ride cymbal w/stand. 1 16 crash cymbal w/stand. New Ludwig clear and silver dot heads were added to all 6 drums recently. Vistalite drums were a line of acrylic drums produced by the Ludwig Drum company, introduced in 1972. The name Vistalite refers to the translucent plastic that the shells were made out of. Vistalite and acrylic offered a synthetic alternative to wood shells and were popularized by rock drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. The original Vistalites are a collectors item. RELY AVAILABLE 50+ YEAR OLD ORIGINAL ONE OWNER ROGERS SILVER SPARKLE HOLIDAY KIT #91410. This set, put together for me by Frank’s Drums in Chicago in 1966, includes, a 20″ x 16″ base, a 16″ x 17″ floor tom, a 12″ x 9″ tom-tom” and a 14″ x 6 Powertone snare. This set was played lightly by me for two years and then securely stored in my home. There have been no modifications or deletions to my original from set. The heads are original. I have also included the bass L arm in a Knobby holder for the ride cymbal, a swiv-o-matic arm for the tom-tom and all legs and spurs. This drum set never left the house and the heads have never been removed. The shells are juts they way they were in 1966. This set is over 50 years old so they do some age related wear, however the set is well preserved and it looks and sounds much the same as it did in 1966. I have the original bill of sale and will add it to my photographs once located. This is one of a handful of vintage Roger’s drum sets that is as close to new as you will ever find. Don’t let it get away. ROGERS DRUMS ARE NICKNAMED THE’CADILLAC’ OF DRUMS AND ARE UP THERE WITH SOME OF DRUM HISTORY’S FINEST. SOME BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE THE FINEST DRUMS EVER PRODUCED, AND THE SOUND, BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN WOULD CERTAINLY LEND WELL TO TH. THESE SHELLS ARE ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT.
