Made in the USA (not the British Legend Drum Company). Legend at one time were in partnership with Gibraltar Hardware and Ovation Guitars. So, this hardware was made by Gibraltar. This finish is a “Black Textured” finish, and it’s the exact same finish as on the back of the Ovation guitars. The shells are made by Keller Shells, in New Hampshire, who makes or has made drum shells for most of the major brands. All of the toms are hanging toms. 8″, 10″, 12″, 14″, 15″ toms with a 22×14″ bass drum. The sizes of the drums are: 8″x8″ (depth) 10″x8″ (depth) 12″x8″ (depth) 14″x14″ 15″x15″ 22″x14″(depth). ALL drums have a bit of tape residue on the heads and/or the chrome (rims, lugs, etc) from use. There is no tom mount holder on the bass drum. There are no rubber tips for the bass drum spurs, but those are easy to find on-line. Details: 8 Tom- Not too bad. Two small noticeable nicks on the tom mount area. 10 Tom – Most panels clean, but the two panels on the left of the badge have noticeable nicks. 12 Tom -Very Good condition. Shell’s exterior is clean. Tape on heads 14 Tom- There are light marks on the exterior, but only one noticeable nick on the panel 2 sections to the right of the label. 15 Tom – Very Good condition. Shell’s exterior is clean with some minor marks. Tape on heads 22″x14″ Bass Drum- Front bass drum head is black with a large piece of tape, and flaccid. Most of the drum is in good condition. There is no tom holder/mount, and there are no rubber feet for the spurs, which are easily to find on-line. All sales are Final. It may take a day longer. Please, no international buyers. Here is a unique customized Legend drumset. It has Keller maple shells, and each drum has a paper label on the interior shell showing a date stamp of May 21, 1996. When I received this drumset, it was an ugly teal blue lacquer finish with a lot of scratches. I took the drums to master drum builder Keven Pinson (formerly of Bearing Edge Drums), and he removed the teal lacquer and applied an exotic wood veneer. It is Birdseye maple, and it is gorgeous. He even added the veneer to both sides of the bass drum hoops. The sizes are (depth x diameter). 5×13 snare with die cast hoops. It has an Ayotte throw off (no extra holes). All rack toms and floor toms are virgin and include the original Legend suspension mounting system. The bass drum is also virgin. It never had a tom mount. The prior owner attempted to repair a small crack in the bass drum shell by drilling two holes about 2.5 apart and putting two bolts through them holding a metal plate together. It was really stupid, so Kevin removed that, filled the two holes, and epoxied the crack (see pic). It is rock solid. There is no structural damage or issue at all, and you dont see anything on the outside of the shell because of the Birdseye veneer covering it.
