Time for this kit to move to a new appreciative home. GRETSCH BROOKLYN – Satin Natural 3 Piece Jazz Shellpack. Brooklyn New York and Gretsch Drums, an inseparable legacy, reflected here in the Gretsch Brooklyn Series. Proudly hand-crafted in Gretsch’s Ridgeland, SC, USA factory. The Brooklyn produces a sound that is immediately recognizable, yet distinctively reinvented. Brooklyn’s innovative specifications created a new Gretsch tonal characteristic that is slightly more open and satisfyingly ambient. There is no denying that Brooklyn drums possess the sound of classic Gretsch drums, but deliver their own sonic personality. Brooklyn delivers classic Gretsch tones that are full, punchy and warm. 6-ply North American Maple/Poplar shells, which is slightly thicker than Gretsch’s USA Custom Drums. Shell interiors are finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer. Each shell comes with a distinctive Brooklyn internal shell label that identifies the drum shell model number and serial number. Gretsch G4825 Floor Tom Brackets with 12.7mm diameter legs. Gretsch G9013 Bass Drum Spurs. Gretsch 4946MT Bass Drum Mounting Plate. Gretsch GS1-THSL Single Tom Holder. Gretsch G4825 Cymbal holder On Bass Drum. Tackle Leather Hoop Saver attached. Aquarian Bass Batter Attached to Head. Gibraltar Floating Floor Rubber feet on Floor Tom Legs. Brooklyn Toms feature the distinctive Gretsch “302” hoop; it’s 3mm thick & double-flanged, reminiscent of hoops used by Gretsch until the mid 1950’s. The player-friendly “302” hoop is the same hoop used on the Broadkaster series. “302” hoops produce the desirable focused sound like that of a die cast hoop, BUT are lighter in weight and less rigid, allowing the drum to better “breath” and achieve maximum resonance. Toms: Aquarian® MODERN VINTAGE Clear Gretsch Permatone by Remo. 8×12 Tom 14×14 Floor. Bass Batter: Aquarian® Modern Vintage Batter 18×14 Bass. Bass Front: Remo/Gretsch White Permatone w/ Black 12:00 Gretsch Log. The kit is glorious – no issues at all! Treated with kid gloves.

This item is an Absolute Mint, never played Gretsch USA Broadkaster 8 x 12 rack tom in the striking Caribbean Blue Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. I custom ordered this drum in July 2025 from the Gretsch factory in Ridgeland SC through Soundpure when they were a Gretsch Drum Dealer. I thought about adding it to my 4-piece Broadkaster set but decided that I would stay with the original 4 piece configuration. It comes with two factory installed internal mufflers and a Permatone coated batter head and Permatone clear resonant head. If you are looking to expand your Caribbean Blues Gloss Broadkaster set or just want a top of the line Gretsch 8 x 12, this drum is for you. The pictures tell the story! NOTE: MEMORIAL DAY SALE! NEW VERY LOW PRICE. PRICED TO SELL FAST. Per the Gretsch Literature. From the 1920s through the 1950s, Gretsch’s flagship drum set was the legendary Broadkaster series. The thin, three-ply shell produced that original “Great Gretsch Sound”. Drum Center of Portsmouth was influential in the prototyping of the latest iteration of the Gretsch Broadkaster when we visited the folks at Gretsch and discussed the relaunch of this classic line! These new Broadkaster shells are made with a North American maple/poplar/maple formula. Each 6.7mm shell includes an interior-ply scarf joint that adds structural integrity to the thin, musical shells. Like all USA-made Gretsch drums, shell interiors are finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer. The bearing edges are an exclusive reverse roundover, which allows greater surface contact with the drumhead. Toms are outfitted with Gretsch’s “302” 3.0mm, double flanged steel hoops. The result is tone that is incredibly deep and warm… Or as we all know it, That Great Gretsch Sound.
