Looking for someone interested in picking them up. I live in Knoxville TN. I have a 1980s Yamaha Recording Custom drum Set for sale. These birch Drums made in Japan sound amazing! I have padded cases bags for all the Drums. This particular set is in great condition overall. It was in a theatre in Nashville as a house kit for most of its life. 22 Inch bass drum. 12 Inch and 13 Inch Rack mounted toms. 14 Inch hanging floor tom (different year). 16 Inch floor tom. The 14 hanging floor tom is a different year. The rest of the set is all matching. Two of the badges on the 12 and 13 with the serial numbers are not there. It appears as tho they never were. An aftermarket screw in vent was added for aesthetics. Its come to mind that possibly the yamaha name needed to be unseen due to endorsed drummers not being able to play another brand. The badges were not removed so as we can tell. It appears as it was ordered this way or someone did an absolute fantastic job removing them! We sent pictures to yamaha and they confirmed it is a Yamaha Recording Custom Set of toms. All the toms have the matching cherry color interior. Condition: The lacquer is in good clean condition! Expect to see some signs of use and age like minor scratches and scuffs. The chrome is clean and shiny with pitting here and there due to age. The snare drum is in good condition! One of the rims is original. The other is a triple flanged replacement. Its a nice heavy duty rim. The throw off needs some attention. I havent been able to look at it yet. It does work but it gets hung up if you take it on and off quickly. All in all a great looking vintage RC. This would be a great studio drum set. Some of the heads could use some replacing.
