For sale is a Vintage Slingerland drum kit from the 60’s in Black Diamond Pearl finish. I bought this from a good friend who was the original owner. These drums never left his music room and were well taken care of since their birth in Feb. He used these in conjunction with another set and on both toms added a Ludwig tom holder from that era, hence two small holes on each drum. Other than that this kit is in amazing shape. ALL ORIGINAL and GREAT CHROME As near to perfect as you could ever find! The drum configurations are as follows: 14″x 20″ Bass Drum, 9″x13″ mounted tom, 14″x14″ floor tom. Here are the specifics of each drum. 9 X 13 mounted tom: date stamp is smuged and not readable also there is no badge (common on this era Slingerlands), clear maple shell and reinforcing ring, wrap is tight, no lifting or yellowing and in perfect shape, chrome Is like new with no pitting or oxidation. Original Slingerland hoops, L tab diamond plate mount and internal tone control. Bearing edges are factory and in new shape. Remo black dot batter head and clear ambassador on resonant side both in very playable shape. 14″x 14″ floor tom: Feb. Badge is tight, no scratches. Clear maple shell and reinforcing ring, wrap is tight, no lifting or yellowing and in great shape, chrome Is like new with no pitting or oxidation, original Slingerland hoops, floor tom leg brackets work as expected, with original leg rubber boots, internal tone control, bearing edges are factory and in new shape. Remo black dot batter head and coated original slingerland resonant side. 14″x 20″ Bass Drum. Feb 1966 date stamp. Clear maple shell and reinforcing ring , wrap is tight, no lifting or yellowing, and in great shape. Chrome is like new, Rail consolete, telescoping spurs. Remo black dot batter head and original Slingerland logo front head is worn with rub marks (like drums were stacked) but still totally playable. Wood hoops have a few small paint chips (no damage to wood just need touch-up) Inlay strips complete and tight. Pedal rash on batter hoop but not gouged. Kit will clean up nicely!
