Up for sale, is this very unique Premier Drum Set, likely from the late 60’s or very early 1970’s. This set consists of a 20″ Bass Drum, 14″ Floor Tom with legs, and a 12″ x 8″ Mounted Tom. All 3 drums are International sizes, and standard drum heads fit perfectly. Overall this drum set is in very good condition, tunes up easily and sounds fantastic. Outstanding 3 Ply African Mahogany Shells with solid Beech re rings. All bearing edges original and in very nice condition. Ultra cool and super rare, custom Factory wrap. The wrap sits tight against the shell with no lifting. WMP has aged beautifully with expected yellowing. Rare size combination with hard to find 14 floor tom. Sleek Die Cast Hoops. Appears to have been custom ordered for a left handed drummer, or may have been part of a double bass drum set up? The drums will come with all new Evans drum heads except for the Remo Ambassador on the reso side of the bass drum. Missing internal tone controls, and the bass drum mount cymbal arm. There are two small holes drilled horizontally in the 12 tom. I really can’t say what the purpose of these holes were, but it has been speculated it could have been for a name plate? The majority of the hardware is in remarkable condition except there are about 4 tension lugs on the bass drum that are pitted. Bass drum hoops have not been refinished or touched up, so there are signs of typical wear and tear. Inlay sits tight and in good condition.
