For sale an early 70’s Gretsch Progressive Jazz Kit. 14″x 20″- 8″x 12″- 14″x 14″. These drums have been professionally refinished in high gloss clear coat with a honey maple stain and they look fantastic! . All chrome is in very good to excellent condition, very little in the way of scratches or pitting. Original silver interior on all 3 drums, floor tom is a bit darker silver. Heads fit effortlessly on the bass and fl tom, the top tom batter side is a tad snug, but tunes up easily. Bearing edges original and excellent condition. There is small repair done on the front side of the bass drum, (see pic 12), which still has a few very small nicks and do not effect the tuning. No extra holes in any of the 3 drums. Floor tom was ordered without leg brackets, and the Rogers swivo mounts were professionally installed. Badges present on all 3 drums. Mufflers / control knobs all present in perfect working order. Paper tags are present on the insides: BD reads 1450 and the last number is hard to read, the paper tag is partially missing. Floor tom reads: 12088 and the top tom reads: 16622. All tension rods are factory matched. Its just a really nice set that need to be played. Any questions and extra pictures just ask. I have owned this set for around 10 years and have never taken them to any gigs, so the finish is virtually in mint condition, a few nicks but not many. They tune up and have a great open sound.
